Fine, it wasn't technically autumn until yesterday. I'll argue that fall festival season starts with September, so it's already in full swing!
Fall festivals usually bring comfortable temperatures for clogging performances and savory treats at the food booths. While you may be able to provide examples to the contrary, I find fall festivals to be a bit more quirky and fun than the summer festivals.
The photo above is from the Rarden Whitetail Deer Festival (Ohio). Trust me, this shows only a small fraction of the taxidermy to be seen here!
Another favorite is the Millersport Sweet Corn Festival (Ohio), where your reward is a free ear of roasted corn after clogging. DELICIOUS!
While I did not get to attend this year due to other clogging obligations, I saved the best for last: The Mothman Festival (Point Pleasant, West Virginia)!
